Teagan Coleman, Founder, Owner, and Lead Trainer

With ten years of animal training experience paired with degrees and certification in animal behavior, nutrition, health, and veterinary tech, Teagan has worked with some of the largest names in dog training across the entire U.S. She decided to bring her expertise to Southern Oregon after years of working across California, Oregon, and traveling the rest of the country, helping dogs find their best selves and lives. With her diverse background and expertise, Teagan endeavors to craft holistic, comprehensive training plans designed to bring confidence into the lives of dogs and their owners alike.

A woman standing outdoors on a street, holding a leash attached to a black and white dog. She is smiling and wearing a black cap, a denim short-sleeved shirt, a colorful floral shirt underneath, and khaki pants. In the background, there is an 'ACE' hardware tent, with various items like rugs and colorful feathers hanging. There are other people walking behind her, and the scene appears to be at a street fair or market.

August Croft, Lead Trainer

After earning a theater degree from Southern Oregon University and working in the self-employed freelance world as a writer, August sought a more fulfilling career, one that would allow them to make a true difference, even on the smallest scale. Enter NLR: a way for August to help dogs and owners throughout the Rogue Valley. They train alongside Teagan and have earned their AKC Training Certification, learning something new about dogs and humans each and every single day. When not telling dogs they’re very good boys and girls, you can find them cooking and writing in their historic Jacksonville home alongside their high school sweetheart.
